Amina is an emcee, poet, and hip-hop practitioner and one-half of the hip-hop group Urbanized Music.[1] She is a co-founder of Chicago Hip-Hop Heritage Month (officially recognized in July by a City Council resolution in 2003) and is currently a member of the faculty and head of the minor in Hip-Hop at Columbia College Chicago.[2]
