Jasiri Orande Smith, known professionally as Jasiri X, is an American rapper and activist from Chicago. ^[1] In 2006, he cofounded an anti-violence group 1Hood. ^[2] Jasiri X creates music addressing social and political issues, including his song "Free the Jenna 6" in 2007. ^[3]
