Hunter Brumfield, professionally known as DJ Hunter and MC Toast, was a disc jockey from Chicago, Illinois. Brumfield became known in the region as an emcee with groups such as Midwest Avengers and Sky Bop Fly. In addition to rapping, he was involved in graffiti art, breakdancing, and DJing. Later in his career, Toast transitioned into rock music, continuing to explore new creative directions. His work and influence are remembered by peers in the local music and arts community.
