Prince Akeem
A Nation Conscious rapper and memeber of the Nation of Islam from Chicago, who forwarded a teleological argument that dive Providence is essential for positive outcomes for Blacks.[1]
“My name is Akeem. Akeem means strong and independent young warrior. I’ve always been alone. I don’t rely on nothing but God. I will fight anybody. I’ve been a fighter all of my life. I’m just saying this with deep sincerity. I’m a lover of my people. Why not? I’m Black. I’m not just a Muslim. See our problem as a people is this. When you say Muslim then they expect you to wear turbans and all of that stuff. If you want to learn martial arts, then you want to be Chinese when you’re black. It’s not like that. Kung Fu is an Arabic name. It was a black man that originated that, and we don’t want to look into that. A lot of people tell me to shut up, because I have something to say. I don’t plan on rapping too long. Can I tell you something? Deeply, deep inside Allah is channeling my mind.” [2]
