DFC

DFC(Da Funk Clan) was a Chicago hip-hop duo from Flint, Michigan, composed of Alpha Breed and Bobby Thompson, professionally known as Al and T-Dub, respectively. The group was closely associated with rapper MC Breed, Al's cousin.

The duo debuted with MC Breed in 1991 a collaborative album that reached No. 142 on the Billboard 200 and featured the single "Ain’t No Future in Yo’ Frontin’." DFC later signed with Atlantic Records and released Things in tha Hood (1994) on its Big Beat subsidiary. The album peaked at No. 71 on the Billboard 200 and included the singles "Caps Get Peeled" and "Thing in tha Hood."

Their final album, The Whole World's Rotten, was released in 1997. The group disbanded in 1999 after appearing on MC Breed’s album It’s All Good.^[1]^[2]
