Father Tyme is an emcee from the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. Father Tyme was active primarily between 2000 and 2007. Known for his close ties to the Gary, Indiana rap scene, he collaborated with notable Midwest hip-hop figures including Twista, CWAL Ballaz, E.C. Illa, D.A. Smart, Freddie Gibbs, Ric Jilla, and others such as Outside, CCA, Thugged Out, and First Battalion.

Throughout the early 2000s, Father Tyme released multiple albums and mixtapes and contributed to several prominent regional compilation projects, helping to solidify his presence in the underground hip-hop community of Chicago and Northwest Indiana.[1]
