Big Buff
Darren Robinson (June 10, 1967 - December 10, 1995), professionally known as Big Buff, is an emcee from Chicago, Illinois. Robinson was also a beatboxer and actor best known as a member of the 1980s hip-hop group the Fat Boys. He was among the early practitioners of beatboxing alongside artists such as Doug E. Fresh.
Robinson and the Fat Boys appeared in the 1985 film Krush Groove, which was loosely based on the early years of the Def Jam record label. The film featured performances by artists including Run-D.M.C., Sheila E., the Beastie Boys, Kurtis Blow, and LL Cool J, and included portrayals of industry figures such as Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin.
