Editing Pages:
- Begin by reading the Wikipedia guide for writing better articles. Please pay special attention to the section on style and tone.
- This project conforms to the rules of Wikiediting as described in the article "Ten simple rules for editing Wikipedia"; please familiarize yourself with these rules before editing pages.
- Once you are ready, use this list of uncategorized pages to begin your work.
Formatting Pages:
- This project uses Wikitext markup language; please familiarize yourself with its syntax.
- Keep in mind that the project supports basic HTML, such as
Green text
orRed text
, etc.
Timeline Editing:
- Tense: Timeline headlines and copy are default past-tense (unless that does make sense for a particular reason).
- Headlines: When writing about historical developments (inventions, performances, etc.), it's generally recommended to use the past tense, such as "so and so invented the windmill." This convention helps to indicate that the event occurred in the past.
