Loleatta Holloway

Loleatta Holloway (November 5, 1946 - March 21, 2011) was a singer from Chicago, Illinois. Holloway's vocals can be heard on many of the Salsoul Disco classics, and she was famously sampled in Black Box's "Ride On Time." Loleatta Holloway was first heard on record when she was 4 years old singing in church with her mother's Gospel group. She was featured singing in Dan Hartman's "Relight my fire" and her own "Hit and Run," "Love Sensation" and "Crash Goes Love."
