Roosevelt Sledge, Jr., better known as R. O. E. or R.O.E.. is a singer and rapper from Chicago active in independent hip hop since the late 2000s.[1] His stage name is an acronym for "Rising Over Envy". He drew early notice with the EP "A Backpacker Named R.O.E." in 2011 and later recorded an album with his band the Soulvillains.[2] There is a Wikipedia article for this subject.
